A good and interesting rag by a composer who like Lee Grabbe appears to have been affiliated with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks ("Dedicated to the B.P.O.E."). Originally self-published by James Fahy in 1908, this edition was published by Theron C. Bennett in various cities in 1911. According to info found by Musescore's Erlingl, James Fahy was from Springfield, Missouri and appeared to have a reputation throughout the region as "Springfield's boy musician and composer". This was his first and possibly only published composition. James Owen Fahy died in Springfield in 1911 at age 22, could be the same person. Original score source was from the Charles Templeton Sheet Music Collection at Mississippi State University at this link: https://scholarsjunction.msstate.edu/cht-sheet-music/12931/ This is a reproduction of the original score. Adjusted measure 29 so the right-hand note durations make sense; eliminated the D.S. jump by adding 16 measures of the repeated A strain in its proper place following the B strain. Thank you to Musescore's JohnJ1995 for suggesting this interesting score. My YouTube channel is here: https://www.youtube.com/@compukats/featured
