A charming intermezzo, not the usual ragtime I normally feature but a welcome addition that was requested. Max C. Eugene was a pseudonym of Max Dreyfus, a successful songwriter, arranger and publisher who lived from 1874 to 1964. This intermezzo was popular and also released in a song version. Published by T.B. Harms in New York City in 1901. (Thanks to JohnJ1995 for the Dreyfus info). Original score source was from the University of Maine Parlor Salon Sheet Music Collection at this link: https://digitalcommons.library.umaine.edu/mmb-ps/118/ This is a reproduction of the original score.
