THIS little 22-year-old native of New York City began her movie career at the top of the ladder and has had nothing but leading roles ever since. Leaving high school, she established herself as one of the most sought-after fashion models. Christened Gladys Greene, she is 5 feet 3, weighs 107 and has light brown hair and blue eyes. After her marriage to Julian Ancker, in 1928, she discovered a non-marriage clause in her contract, and had to choose between a husband and a career. Jean chose the career and had the marriage annulled.
