LElLA was born into the acting profession in New York City, May 1, 1905, and the stage was her home until she transferred her beauty and talent to the screen in 1924, appearing in "Sandra." Many other pictures followed, but she did not become popular until she broke into the talkies in "Alias Jimmy Valentine." She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hyams, professionally known as Hyams and McIntyre. She is 5 feet 5, weighs 118 and has blonde hair and grey eyes. In November, 1927, she was married to Phil J. Berg.
