It's exactly like Commons:Deletion requests/File:Sankebetsu incident newspaper.jpg: A Japanese camera around 2010 had only bad captured that old 1915's photo in the page of Kimura Moritake's book, published for the first time in 1994.  Not done. Sankebetsu incident photo had double copyright: of depicted object (old photo, copyright expired due to age) and of modern photographer (no permission – that was reason for deletion). Yamamoto Heikichi photo has only single copyright: of depicted object (expired due to age). No copyright of modern photographer is here, because photographer did not do any creative work. But it's also very bad as photo, since it was captured from that book opened as seen very better in the first version of the upload: the same for "Italo e Floriano Calvino.jpg". No, they're exactly duplicates. In my version, I've only removed the part with the unnecessary Japanese description, as well unnecessary parts of the book's page. The photo of Yamamoto is the same. Anonymous Hong Kong Photographer 1[edit]

Hi Tavio,

Recently it came to my attention that one of their sock, Special:Contributions/KamUTsingRM 3320, has been uploading a lot of incorrectly named or categorized files. (see Category:Photos by Anonymous Hong Kong Photographer 1 pending rename for files in question) Considering the scale of the clean-up required, their behaviors are disruptive. I noticed your comments on Category:Sockpuppets of Anonymous Hong Kong Photographer 1 to not block them. Should such exempt stand? There is a discussion on village pump. Can you please explain the reason for why the exemption should be held, as suggested that the spp group's behaviour are disruptive? The naming of many files they uploaded are nonsensical, with examples of a giant text in the image saying it's station A, while the file name and categorisation by the spp group suggests otherwise. It is to such a large scale that clearly constitutes disruption, and the misnaming of files and miscategorisation happens in the English language, so not understanding the Chinese language isn't really a valid reason to not investigate further. Do please prove your point on why an exemption is granted for such disruption, on what policy basis was the exemption granted initially, or otherwise how it does not constitute disruption at all. I have not seen any disruption from the user. Yes, there are almost thousand files in the category, but I am not convinced, that the files really need renaming, and I am not convinced, that this constitutes a systematic disruption. I have worked with uploads of the user in the past and generally the uploads were enough good. Commons community discussed the user 4 years ago here and decided to make such exemption for him. I am also not convinced by your "not convinced" as you have still been unable to give an actual reason as to how the issues that I point out that the files are incorrectly named, apart from your vague "do not know" and "am not convinced".

This Deletion Request[edit]

Dear Taivo,

Can you please reconsider the above DR and replace the old low resolution image which I took and replace it with this much higher resolution image--from the same museum--here of the same object. Then you can delete my original image as I suggested.

I believe that WikiCommons should have the highest resolution image possible and the image I took in 2008 is low quality and replacable. The key thing is the iamge is replacable. Why would wikipedia use a poor quality image when there is a better quality replacement which is the point of my DR above?

I think this is the file where I added source details earlier today. The source page says the research paper was released as CC-BY 4.0. If this page wasn't edited by me today, can you please check my deleted edits? I definitely added source details to one of the user's uploads that were probably deleted in the same batch.
